Day 14 of 99 Success Moves Every Woman Should Take Blogging Challenge

Today is Mother’s Day. It has been great so far. I can not complain. I woke to a breakfast, (cooked by one of my daughters, I can not believe she was even in the kitchen) My oldest daughter went out and got my cup Joe, and my son made me a card that had me crying in my waffles. But I still had that little feeling in my belly. It was that feeling that something was missing from my life. It was the grief of missing my own mother. She died three years ago and the wounds are still fresh. I got up this morning with the feeling but after a little talk with Jesus I knew everything was going to be alright. I simply ask the Father for strength to make it through today. I had to make a decision about how my day was going to go. I could have spent my day crying and sulking about the loss of my mother or I could thank God for my own children, my husband and my friends. So today’s success move is very personal. I am hoping that you whose mother is not physically present with you today would spend your day thanking and celebrating God for the people who are healthy and alive in your life.

So take today at face value and eat, drink and be merry!

So I give you my success move #14:

You have the power to decide how your day is going to go! Make every day of your life a GREAT day!

Scripture Reference:

Nehemiah 8:10

Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is sacred to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
