A Woman’s Revolution: The Time Paradigm
Almost all the women I know, coach and mentor have a common challenge between them. Time… Managing time…
Some of the common statements are:
I need more time.
I do not have enough time.
Time goes by so fast.
Where did the time go?
There is not enough time in the day.
Sound familiar?
There are so many time management strategies out there. Not to mention the time management tools available to us. I think that finding the right tool or strategy is not the root of the issue. I do believe that in order to be better at managing your time, you have to change your perspective of Time. I mean that there has to be a paradigm shift about your time before you can actually begin to implement a strategy to manage it. I am coining this revolutionary move for women the Timing Paradigm. What I am suggesting is that how you think about your time has to be adjusted. Once you understand your time as a valuable commodity you may think twice about how you spend it. Time is more then a period of time or an interval or duration of moments used to complete a task.
Time is an expensive resource used to create, to build and to formulate destiny.(my definition) And if you look at in such a way the value and your perception of the way you spend Time takes on a higher dimension of thinking. Your approach to your everyday tasks are now viewed as unlimited possibilities that must be managed with precision and thoughtful prioritization. I know that last statement seems quite complex and intense but if you look at your time as something that is given to you create an empire of possibilities you would not put things are your list that do not create sustaining reward for your destiny. So the way you view your time, the way you see your time has to change before you can manage it. What you dream about and aspire to do take TIME! That time is robbed from you when you allow others who do not support you, and tasks that have no real value to you to drain your TIME.
A few things to consider about your perspective of your TIME!
#1 You have a dream and vision. It takes TIME to cultivate it.
#2 You are responsible for the dream and the vision. If your dream is not being implemented it’s by your own hand that you are not using your time to get it done. Take control of your time. Key word ‘YOUR’ TIME!
#3 Your TIME is like money in the bank! Spend it wisely.
In my own personal life I have revaluating my timing issue over and over again. Only to find that my productivity in my business and personal life stems on how I view the time I spend on certain projects. Changing your view, your thoughts as it relates to time will ultimately change your actions!
