Feed the System
As I continue to educate myself about business development, ministry administration and all the like, I have found a lot of interesting perspectives about building your business not to mention a ton of strategic ways to get my message out to my readers (nickcolebyrd.com), my listeners (blogtalkradio.com/realwomenreallife) and in a couple months my viewers (Real Women Real Life Talk Show). (See Video) Today, I was reading a newsletter that I had subscribed to that talked a great deal about Feeding the System. In his (chrisbrogan.com) newsletter the author talked about what I teach which is that there must be consistency in building a business. There must be something that you do daily that gets you closer to your vision. You feed the system when you are marketing and administrating your business daily.
I had recently written article, The 15 minute challenge, as a way of getting us started in little increments to begin implementing all of those great ideas. But, we in our efforts to excel in business or in ministry must continue to feed our spiritual system as well. For us as believers it is the thing that keeps us in the know. Our spiritual system is what fuels us to persevere in business and in ministry. And if we are running low on those spiritual nutrients, like prayer and daily devotion we will never be able to produce the excellence we so much desire to produce. John 15 was my scripture for today, specifically the part of the scripture that says that “No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear much fruit unless you remain in me.” This particular passage teaches us no matter how much we know, what relationships we establish in business or in ministry, we can not be at our optimum without the foundation of our faith. The Vine provides us the nutrients we need to move forward in our vision. We must stay connected to the VINE to produce REAL success! We must feed our systems!
