Take the 15 minute challenge: 3 steps to get started on the vision!
I received a call this morning from a good friend of mine. We had so much catching up to do about our lives this short call just wasn’t going to do, but we made it work. She begins to ask about my life and what I was doing and as usual I talked her ear off. But suddenly I stopped my continuous rambling and asked her about her current progress with some of her projects and she let out a huge sigh. Her conversation and tone was one of concerned about her procrastination tendencies and how she became involved in other projects that at this time seemed to not allow her to go forth in her own vision. That she wants to get started but her schedule and the current project she was working on seemed to not let her move. I made a couple of recommendations to her that also inspired this article.
Recommendation #1
Get a Clear understanding of your season.
The bible tells us that there is a time and a season for everything. And has we begin to implement the vision, the dreams that God has given us we must simply know where specifically we are in the project. A time of training and preparation means just that. That it is a time that you would begin in your specific area begun to train and prepare yourself before you actually implement your program or project.
Recommendation #2
Create a list of your core process.
Creating a list will allow you the opportunity to fully think through the steps that need to happen for your vision to come in to play. I advise you to take time to get away from all of your responsibilities and sit down and create a list of tasks that need to be in place BEFORE implementation.
Recommendation #3
Take the 15 minute challenge.
Most of the women I know have tight schedules. We have family, our relationships with our spouses, we are parents, ministry leaders, business owners (just to name a few of the hats we must wear) and it may seem like it is just not enough time. So I recommend that for next 30 days you will take 15 minutes to do something (big or small) that will get you closer to your implementation phase. It may not seem like a lot of time but you will be astonished of the things you are able to accomplish in 15 minutes a day. This challenge is simply a practical way of getting you to focus on your project with consistency. You can always increase the time!
So today I am inviting all of you! To take the 15 minute challenge with me for the next 30 days. I am interested in hearing your stories of the progress you will make!
