Finish like you started
The day after Thanksgiving for most is a day to enjoy a day off, catch up with family members and to go out with friends. But if you are an entrepreneur or ministry leader, today for most of us was a work day. It is a work day because the vision that we believe that God has for us is one where we are so passionate about it that we spend time that we can have off creating and building. We are creating new ideas and revamping areas of our business or ministries so that when the New Year arrives we are prepared for every opportunity presented. I wanted to post today’s blog with one intention and that is to encourage you to keep the faith. Your faith in God is the catalyst to keep you going. I wanted to ask you to take time to breath and study the word of God regarding faith and the power that you have to believe God for the supernatural. I believe that next year will be a time of Harvest. And that harvest will be predicated on your steadfastness and your preparedness as 2009 draws to an end. With about 34 days to go, I want you finish this year with all that you have. I recommend that you finish it with the same energy you started with. For me I am not just preparing but I am expecting. I know in my heart that I have done the things, the practical things, that I can do to prepare for the next season and so I expect God to do his part, the SUPERNATURAL. So I wanted to share with you a few practical things that I am doing to help escort me into the New Year:
Building Block #1
Catch up on your reading
Reading books, the bible, newsletters that relate to your industry is an excellent way to educate yourself and inspire you so that you will be at your best for all of the new clients God is going to send your way.
Building Block #2
Brainstorm your Brand
If you already have brand elements in place (your logo, website/blog, stationary) I suggest that you review those now to see how you can take it up a notch. And if you don’t have any of these things ready for 2010, you need to get started. I found a low budget website that does logo design with three concepts and revisions for only $27.00. Check out www.logonerds.com.
Building Block #3
Clean and Organize Your Workspace
Eliminating those items that are only in the way and do not contribute to your work plan need to be thrown out. Not to mention, you may need to upgrade your computer by adding new software, clean those shortcut icons that you do not need off your desktop, and maybe even rearrange or move your workspace to area where you can start the year being more productive.
One of my main coaching initiatives is to provide women with practical elements that they can implement within the next 72 hours. There is scripture that tells us that faith without works is dead! Meaning that if you do not do your part your Faith in your business or ministry will be filled with void transactions. So my encouraging words to you are: Believe in God, do your part and finish like you started!
