Get Inspired!

There are days that I have experienced that I just can not get it together. You know those days where your mind can not seem to get organized and pursue the things that God has for you. I have discovered that sometimes in business, in ministry and even in relationships you have to find something extra to give you the push you need to keep going. There are women who not only have had this breakdown in emotion on just one occasion but have found themselves stuck inside their mind over a period of time longer than expected. There are some things that we can do both spiritually and naturally to get us out of those ruts that if we stay there too long it will cause us to go deeper into something that will take more than prayer to pull us out.

In a conversation with my students I asked, “What do you do when the day becomes to much to handle, When the business is not flowing like you thought it would, when your in a relationship where you have given just about all you can give?” Each of them found individually that they had to go to a place that will allow revamping and rethinking. One of my students told me he sings and plays the guitar, the other said I just run and I like to run in the rain, for some of us that place of escape is cooking, and for me a hot shower, some prayer and personal preaching gets me back to that place of peace, that place where God begins to put us back on the course of the day and on course for the assignment.

Practically, I suggest that you put some calming music on. I have a collection of worship songs that I have downloaded from ITUNES. I turn up the calm, get my cup of coffee, and begin to rehearse in my mind the things of God. I think about his greatnesses and what he has done in my life, in the lives of the people I know. One of my favorite scriptures, Philippians 4:8 provides for all who meditate on it a priceless form of therapy.

It says,

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy–meditate on these things.

We must put our mind on the goodness of the Lord. We must remind ourselves of the promises of God! And we must be expedient when we find ourselves falling in a rut of sorrow! Think on these things! Think on the things that will inspire you to move forward, those things that inspired you move up, and those things that inspire you to live a life of peace! Get Inspired!
